Onegaishimasu Parents and Students,

I wanted to start this week’s Mokuso by saying a huge thank you, to you, the parents, for doing such a fantastic job in raising the standard in your dojo. You are the number one educators in your child’s life, and the driving force behind creating the optimal learning environment for your children in line with the proper traditions of the IOGKF and Keiko dojo. Nicely Done!!

When you raise your standard, and surround yourself with people with higher standards… You can’t help but become successful....Way to step up!!!

Which brings me to my mokuso…….

This past weekend Canadian and World chief Instructor Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura hosted the annual IOGKF Canada Black Belt Gasshuku. This is our annual opportunity for IOGKF Senseis, and Senpais to gather from across our country to study and train for three days under the watchful eye of Nakamura Sensei.

In order to preserve traditional karate, and develop the highest quality skill set for Senseis, and Senpais (including Keiko Instructors), Nakamura sensei uses The Canadian Black Belt Gasshuku as a means to pass down his vast knowledge so we can in turn bring the teachings back to our respective dojos and students.

This event is not only invaluable technically but also in strengthening and enhancing our organization, the people in it, and Keiko Dojo.

It is my dream to eventually see every one of you at the Annual IOGKF Canadian Black Belt Gasshuku!!
